File Damage on Photos

Troubleshooting Photo Corruption on SD Cards: Seeking Solutions

Hello Everyone,

I recently encountered a frustrating issue that I had never faced before: the corruption of photos on my SD card. I recently returned from a holiday where I captured beautiful moments at a wedding, but I am now unable to open any images from the final day of shooting. All photos taken prior to this day are intact and function normally, but the cherished wedding shots have proven to be elusive.

I’ve attached a screenshot illustrating the error message that pops up across multiple devices, including my Windows PC, MacBook, and smartphone. Even uploading the images to the cloud didn’t yield any success; while the files are present and the data (such as file size) appears normal, they all prompt the same error when I attempt to access them.

To tackle the issue, I have experimented with several repair solutions:
Wondershare Recoverit
Wondershare Repairit
– Renaming files and changing their extension
– Converting files to PNG format
– Utilizing a sample image for advanced repair
– Attempting to open the files in Lightroom and Photoshop as .NEF copies

Unfortunately, none of these methods have resolved the problem, and I’m feeling quite stumped at this point. I’m considering reaching out to a professional for help, but before taking that step, I wanted to turn the question over to the community one last time.

If anyone has experience with photo recovery or has suggestions for troubleshooting corrupt images, your insights would be greatly appreciated. Any advice or resources you could share would be incredibly helpful in this frustrating situation.

Thank you in advance for your support!
