Troubleshooting PC Lag: A Concern for New Users

I recently purchased a PC for my son, and despite being only a month old, it’s begun to exhibit performance issues. We’ve been experiencing significant lag: the mouse cursor frequently skips across the screen and overall responsiveness has decreased noticeably. After attempting a system reset to remedy the situation, the problems unfortunately persist.
In addition to the general lag, my son is frustrated by the drop in frames per second (FPS) while gaming, which significantly impacts his experience. As a new PC user, I’m seeking insight and assistance from the community. If anyone has encountered similar issues or has tips on how to resolve them, your help would be greatly appreciated.
