Passed the Comptia Security+ Certification Exam on my first go… Don’t be afraid.

Successfully Passing the CompTIA Security+ Certification Exam: A First-Hand Experience

I’m thrilled to share that I passed the CompTIA Security+ certification exam on my very first attempt! For anyone feeling apprehensive about their preparation, I encourage you not to worry. The exam was much more manageable than I had anticipated.

While it certainly presented its challenges, it was not the daunting test I imagined. There were a few questions that could have been clearer in their wording. However, the simulation questions, which I had previously feared, turned out to be far easier than I expected. Instead of needing to recall specific commands from memory, the simulations were more akin to matching exercises or dropdown selections—much simpler than I had psyched myself into believing.

My anxiety surrounding the simulation questions had led me to delay scheduling the exam, presuming that I needed additional practice. In reality, I had nothing to fear, and my hesitance was unfounded.

For those preparing for the exam, here’s my best advice: engage with practice tests after you’ve completed your studies and ensure you’re consistently achieving passing scores. If you encounter questions that stump you, don’t hesitate to skip them and mark them for review. You might find that later questions provide hint clues that could trigger your memory. Marking questions for review allows you to revisit them easily at the end of the exam.

I’d also like to express my gratitude to the wonderful community on this sub. The wealth of information, insights, and resources shared here has been invaluable on my journey into the field of cybersecurity.

Best of luck to anyone preparing for the exam—you can do this!

P.S. Thank you all for your supportive comments and awards; your encouragement truly means a lot! I couldn’t have achieved this without this amazing community.
