Urgent Help Needed: My Amazon Account Has Been Compromised for Weeks
Over the past three weeks, my Amazon account has fallen victim to unauthorized access, and I find myself desperate for a solution. Despite my relentless efforts to secure my information, I am still being impacted by suspicious activity that I suspect may be related to a brushing scam.
For weeks now, I have noticed unfamiliar credit and debit cards being linked to my account, as well as strange shipping addresses popping up. To make matters worse, multiple items have been ordered using these unknown cards, all scheduled to be delivered to my home. The situation has become increasingly alarming.
I have reached out to Amazon’s customer service over five times and have had my account temporarily locked on two occasions, but the issues persist. I’ve changed my password more than ten times and implemented two-factor authentication for both my Amazon account and the linked email. Additionally, I’ve reset permissions on all devices associated with my account, hoping to cut off any unauthorized access.
Unfortunately, despite Amazon assuring me that they have “sanitized” my account, I’ve seen little to no change in the situation. I am hesitant to close my account entirely as it contains years of purchase history and valuable benefits, especially from creating baby registries for my children.
I am reaching out for guidance on what steps I should consider next. Has anyone out there experienced a similar issue? Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated as I try to regain control over my account and protect my personal information.
