Can resetting your PC “by button” harm your hardware?

Can Force Restarting Your PC Damage Hardware? A New Build Owner’s Dilemma

Greetings, fellow tech enthusiasts!

Today, I’d like to share an experience from my recent venture into building my very own computer. I’m incredibly proud of my creation, but I encountered a frustrating issue shortly after assembling it. My Windows operating system decided to throw a tantrum, freezing at the login screen. In my moment of impatience, I resorted to a forceful restart—yes, the dreaded “reset by button” method.

After a bit of troubleshooting, including diving into the BIOS and updating drivers, I finally managed to resolve the booting problem. However, this incident left me with a nagging concern: could my hardware have sustained damage due to that abrupt restart? As a newcomer to PC building, I find myself feeling quite anxious about the potential risks of such actions.

If anyone has insights or experiences to share, I would greatly appreciate your input! It would truly help alleviate some of the paranoia I’m feeling. On a positive note, I am relieved to report that my system is functioning flawlessly now!

Thank you in advance for your guidance!
