Lately, my computer’s behavior has shifted—well, not exactly strange, but definitely more peculiar.

Troubleshooting My Computer’s Quirky Behavior: Seeking Advice

As someone who relies heavily on my computer for various tasks, I’ve recently encountered some troubling and perplexing issues that I hope to get some insight on. To give you a bit of background, my machine was repaired around three years ago after I fell victim to a low-quality part provided by an untrustworthy source. Since then, I’ve noticed some oddities that have left me scratching my head.

Initially, I frequently received a CPU fan error message at startup. Interestingly, the fan was operational, and the CPU temperature was normal. Instead of reaching out to the repair shop, I opted to bypass this issue by accessing the BIOS and booting from there. In hindsight, contacting the professionals might have been a wiser choice.

This was only the beginning of my technical challenges. Eventually, I discovered that my Windows operating system was failing, which I traced back to a suspicious SSD. After replacing the faulty drive, things seemed to return to normal, but I was soon faced with yet another peculiar problem.

The current issue involves my computer’s inconsistent power-up behavior. At times, when I press the power button, it powers on normally; other times, it simply refuses to start. During these failed attempts, the power button lights up, and the power supply shows signs of activity, yet the computer persists in remaining unresponsive. My keyboard and mouse do not activate, and nothing appears on the monitor.

In these frustrating moments, I often find myself going through a series of rituals to coax the computer back to life: switching it off and on repeatedly, toggling the power plug, and sometimes even opening up the case to check connections—despite everything appearing secure. It’s a gamble whether these methods will work.

Beyond the power issues, there are other quirks, such as spontaneous restarts when I switch the HDMI connection from the monitor to the TV. Furthermore, if my knee inadvertently nudges the computer while I rise from my chair, it may power down unexpectedly.

If anyone has experienced similar troubles or has recommendations for diagnosing the root of these anomalies, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. For reference, I’ve included some images and videos of my setup to aid in troubleshooting: View Images and Videos.
