Suspicions of Invasion: Is My Father Hacking My Phone?

Living about 40 minutes away from my parents has its perks, but it also brings its own set of familial dynamics. Recently, my mother expressed concerns over my father’s obsession with her privacy. During a visit to their home today, she stumbled upon a peculiar USB device that piqued our curiosity—one with a button and a switch on one side. Naturally, I plugged it into my laptop to investigate further.

What transpired next was chilling. Upon accessing the contents of the USB, I stumbled upon video recordings of my mother and alarming audio clips of conversations I had just had earlier that day with both her and my sister, as well as a private phone call with my boyfriend that took place just moments before. This discovery left me shocked and perplexed, raising more questions than answers.

To clarify, neither my mother nor I have ever granted my father any access to our phones—my device is a Galaxy Note 9, while hers is a newer iPhone.
