Facing a Challenge: An IT Expert’s Fight to Resolve This Problem

Title: Troubleshooting a Non-Functional Nvidia 3060 GPU: A Tech Enthusiast’s Dilemma

As a dedicated IT professional, it’s not uncommon to encounter perplexing challenges with technology. However, I find myself in a bit of a quandary following a purchase that I hoped would enhance my computing experience.

Recently, I acquired a used laptop from my workplace, equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU. For the first couple of weeks, everything functioned seamlessly, but then I encountered an unexpected problem— the GPU suddenly ceased to operate.

In my efforts to troubleshoot the situation, I’ve undertaken a range of solutions. I began by reinstalling the graphics drivers, followed by a thorough update of the BIOS. When those actions proved ineffective, I attempted rolling back the BIOS and Windows updates to earlier versions. I even went as far as uninstalling the drivers entirely, reverting to previous iterations, and ultimately reinstalling Windows, only to revert to an older version once more.

Despite my detailed troubleshooting, the GPU remains visible within the Device Manager, yet it is unrecognized by any other applications or software. This has left me at an impasse.

I’m reaching out to the community for support. Have any of you faced similar issues with a graphics card? What additional steps would you recommend to get my Nvidia 3060 functioning again? Your insights could be invaluable in resolving this dilemma. Thank you!
