Dealing with Persistent Malware: My Experience with pongponger.click
Greetings, dear readers! I want to share a troubling experience I recently faced regarding malware that refuses to budge.
Like many gamers, I occasionally find myself downloading titles from unofficial sites, and this time, it resulted in a nasty surprise: a piece of malware known as pongponger.click.
Upon launching Windows, this malware activates automatically, hijacking my Google Chrome browser and displaying unwanted advertisements. I’ve tried uninstalling Google Chrome in hopes of eradicating the issue, but to no avail. It continues to reappear, much to my frustration.
Despite employing both Windows Defender and Avast in my defense, neither program managed to detect the malware. At this point, I’m left contemplating a full system reinstall, which seems like an overwhelming and chaotic task.
I wanted to share this experience not only to vent a little but also to warn others about the potential risks of downloading from unverified sources. If anyone has insights or suggestions on how to tackle this issue without resorting to a complete reset, I would greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I hope to hear some solutions!
