During a conversation with my VP of Global Services, they inadvertently revealed some behind-the-scenes insights.

The Unspoken Reality of Workforce Management: A Personal Encounter

Recently, during a conversation with my Vice President of Global Services, I found myself in an uncomfortable position as certain truths were brought to light. It became evident that the organization’s approach to recruitment extends beyond merely seeking affordable talent. In addition to looking for cost-effective candidates to fill open roles, there appears to be a strategy of targeting countries with minimal labor protection laws.

This revelation raises significant concerns about the impact of such practices on team morale and workplace culture. It’s disheartening to witness an emphasis on cost over the well-being of employees, suggesting a willingness to prioritize profit at the expense of ethical considerations.

Have others experienced similar discussions within their organizations? As for me, this week marks the final chapter of my journey with my current employer. I look forward to moving on to a new opportunity that aligns better with my values. It’s comforting to know that there may be more supportive and ethically conscious workplaces out there.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Have you too encountered similar sentiments in your professional environment?
