Stepping into Cybersecurity: A Newcomer’s Journey

In the world of technology, few responsibilities carry as much weight as cybersecurity. Recently, I found myself in a situation that many professionals could relate to—being entrusted with a crucial role without any formal training. As I embarked on my new job, I was thrilled at the prospect of assisting with computer-related tasks. However, I quickly discovered that this extended far beyond my initial expectations; I was now in charge of managing the company’s cybersecurity efforts.

The reality hit me hard: there were no established protocols in place, and previously, no one had taken on this responsibility.
