My Friend’s Hard Drive: A Virus Nightmare

Recently, I encountered a serious issue involving a friend’s hard drive that ultimately left my device compromised. After lending it out, I began receiving countless notifications from Windows Defender warning me of potential threats.

To tackle the problem, I attempted to utilize Malwarebytes, a reputable anti-malware tool, but to my dismay, it was swiftly removed from my system, presumably by the malware itself. Undeterred, I decided to try a different approach by employing the Kaspersky Rescue Disk. This tool managed to identify a significant number of viruses lurking on my device. However, once I rebooted into Windows, the infection reappeared, proving to be extremely resilient.
