Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Nvidia 3060 GPU: Share Your Experiences
As an IT professional, encountering technological hurdles can be frustrating, especially when they strike unexpectedly. Recently, I purchased a second-hand laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU, which initially performed well for two weeks. Unfortunately, this reliable device has since experienced a critical issue and ceased to function properly.
In my efforts to resolve the problem, I have undertaken numerous steps. Firstly, I reinstalled the GPU drivers, thinking perhaps a corruption had occurred. Next, I explored BIOS updates and, in turn, reverted both BIOS and Windows updates to see if that would restore functionality. I even reverted to older driver versions and conducted a complete Windows reinstall, opting for a previous version in case the newest iteration was causing issues.
While the device manager acknowledges the GPU’s presence, it remains unrecognized by any additional software. This has left me at a standstill, and I’m reaching out to the community for guidance. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue with their Nvidia graphics card? If so, what solutions or methods did you find effective in overcoming this challenge? Your insights could help shed light on this vexing situation!
