Overcoming the Challenge: An IT Expert’s Journey to Resolving This Problem

Troubleshooting a NVIDIA 3060 GPU: Seeking Solutions for a Used Laptop Dilemma

As someone who works in IT, encountering a sudden hardware failure can be both frustrating and perplexing. I recently purchased a used laptop equipped with an NVIDIA 3060 GPU from my workplace, and everything was functioning smoothly for about two weeks. Unfortunately, the GPU ceased to operate a few days ago, leaving me at a bit of a crossroads.

In my quest to resolve this issue, I’ve undertaken various troubleshooting measures. I’ve meticulously reinstalled the graphics drivers, performed BIOS updates, and even rolled back both BIOS and Windows updates in hopes of restoring functionality. Additionally, I’ve tried uninstalling the existing drivers and reverting to older versions, alongside a complete Windows reinstall and downgrading to a previous version of the operating system.

Though the Device Manager recognizes the GPU without any issues, it seems to be incompatible with other software applications. This leaves me wondering if anyone in the tech community has experienced a similar problem or possesses any insights on possible fixes. If you have encountered a situation like this or have suggestions that could help, your input would be greatly appreciated. Let’s collaborate to tackle this GPU mystery together!
