Unearthing Nostalgia: The Discovery of a Sharp PC-7000
During a recent organization project in the shed, I stumbled upon a fascinating relic from the past: my father’s Sharp PC-7000—a portable computer that once represented cutting-edge technology. As I brushed off the dust, memories of its storied past filled my mind.
I snapped a quick photo of this vintage device resting on my lap, although it typically resides in the shed to avoid becoming a spider haven. To my delight, when I plugged it in, it sprang back to life, proving that some things are built to last. Remarkably, we even have floppy disks that are compatible with it!
The Sharp PC-7000 was truly revolutionary in its day, and I can vividly envision my father using it in his classes—an early sign of the mobile computing era that we now take for granted. This experience has not only rekindled fond memories but also sparked a deep appreciation for the advancements in technology that have occurred since then.
