Troubleshooting a Non-Functional Nvidia 3060 Notebook GPU: Seeking Solutions
As a dedicated IT professional, it can be incredibly frustrating when you encounter a problem that seems unsolvable. Recently, I faced a challenging situation with a used laptop acquired from my previous workplace. The device is equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU, which functioned flawlessly for two weeks before suddenly ceasing to work.
In my quest to restore its functionality, I have made several attempts to troubleshoot the issue. I started with the basics, reinstalling the latest drivers and performing BIOS updates. After that, I explored different avenues, including reverting both BIOS and Windows updates in hopes of resolving any conflicts that might have arisen.
I even took the drastic step of uninstalling the drivers entirely to experiment with older versions, and ultimately, I went so far as to reinstall Windows, then switch back to an earlier version. Despite all these efforts, the GPU continues to be recognized in the device manager but remains unacknowledged by any other programs.
I am reaching out to the community in hopes of gathering insights or suggestions from others who may have encountered similar issues. Has anyone experienced a situation like this, or does anyone have potential solutions that could help get my GPU back up and running? Your expertise and advice would be greatly appreciated!
