Feeling Stumped: As an IT Professional, I Can’t Crack This Issue…

Troubleshooting GPU Issues: A Frustrated IT Professional Seeks Solutions

As a professional in the IT field, it’s always disheartening when technical issues arise that seem impossible to resolve. Recently, I faced a perplexing situation with a used laptop I purchased from my previous employer. Equipped with an NVIDIA 3060 GPU, this laptop performed admirably for a fortnight. However, just a few days ago, the graphics card ceased functioning.

In desperation, I’ve undertaken several troubleshooting steps. I’ve reinstalled the graphics drivers, updated the BIOS, and even rolled back to previous versions of both the BIOS and Windows. Additionally, I’ve completely uninstalled the drivers, reverting to older versions in hopes of resolving the issue. As a final resort, I even reinstalled Windows entirely, opting to return to an earlier version.

Despite my efforts, the graphics card appears in the Device Manager without any issues, yet it is unrecognized by any other applications. I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered a similar problem or has suggestions for further troubleshooting. Your insights could be invaluable as I navigate this frustrating technical challenge.
