Troubleshooting a Non-Functional Nvidia 3060 GPU: A Tech Dilemma
As technology enthusiasts, we often find ourselves navigating unexpected challenges. Today, I’m reaching out to the community for assistance with a puzzling issue regarding my recently acquired laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU.
After purchasing this used laptop from my previous employer, I was pleased to find that the graphics card performed remarkably well for about two weeks. However, much to my dismay, it suddenly ceased to function a few days ago.
I’ve undertaken several troubleshooting measures to try to resolve the situation, including:
- Reinstalling the graphics drivers.
- Updating the BIOS.
- Rolling back BIOS and Windows updates.
- Uninstalling drivers and reverting to older versions.
- Performing a clean installation of Windows and then rolling back to a previous version.
Despite these efforts, the GPU continues to be recognized in the Device Manager; however, it remains unresponsive in other applications and programs.
If anyone in the tech community has faced a similar issue or has tips they could share on how to tackle this situation, your insights would be greatly appreciated. Let’s work together to find a solution!
