Troubleshooting a Faulty Nvidia 3060 GPU: Seeking Solutions
As an IT professional, I pride myself on my ability to tackle technical challenges, but occasionally, I encounter issues that leave me utterly perplexed. Recently, I purchased a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 GPU, which performed flawlessly for two weeks. Unfortunately, it encountered a sudden malfunction a few days ago, and I’m at a loss for how to resolve it.
In my quest to troubleshoot the problem, I’ve undertaken a series of methods in hopes of restoring the GPU back to its operational state. I started by reinstalling the graphics drivers, performing BIOS updates, and even reverting to previous BIOS and Windows updates. Despite these efforts, the GPU remains stubbornly inactive.
For further troubleshooting, I uninstalled the drivers completely and attempted to revert to older versions, all to no avail. As a last resort, I reinstalled Windows and then shifted back to an older version, yearning to find the solution that would breathe new life into my laptop’s GPU.
The perplexing part is that the graphics card is still visible in the Device Manager; however, it is not recognized by any other applications. If anyone has faced a similar issue or has insights into potential fixes, I would greatly appreciate your input. Your expertise could be the key to solving this frustrating dilemma!
