Unusual Event: My Computer Started Typing Sentences to Me – Seeking Assistance

Bizarre Incident: My PC Started Typing on Its Own – Seeking Solutions

Let me share a rather unusual experience I encountered with my computer recently. It may sound quite unbelievable, but I assure you it’s true.

While immersed in a game of Battlefield 4, I attempted to record footage using NVIDIA’s software. In my efforts to find the right key combination, I ended up unintentionally triggering something strange. Shortly after, I noticed my system behaving oddly; it began inputting random letters and even opened the chat feature in the game, automatically typing “amr admin”. In a state of panic, I immediately exited the game.

Things took a bizarre turn when I opened Google Chrome. To my astonishment, the search bar began inserting complete sentences without my intervention. I clicked on various keys in an attempt to stop this from happening, but the sentences kept appearing. When I tried to exit Battlefield, I found myself unexpectedly reconnected to the server, with my screen flickering and the game continually re-establishing the focus. It was only after a full reboot that I managed to regain control of my PC.

I took a moment to inspect my keyboard for any macros or unusual settings, but found nothing out of the ordinary. My online search for similar experiences or advice yielded no concrete answers. This whole episode felt surreal and left me feeling quite unsettled. I hadn’t downloaded any new software in weeks, leading me to question whether it was a malware issue or some strange hardware malfunction.

Now, I’m seeking advice on what steps to take next. While a complete wipe of my PC might be a last resort, I am apprehensive because I have important files stored on it. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? Is my system compromised? What actions should I consider moving forward?

Update: After my initial panic-fueled post, I wasn’t able to replicate the strange typing behavior, even after attempting the same keystrokes. I appreciate the myriad suggestions from the community; I took the time to thoroughly check all keyboard macros and verify that no uninvited connections were present. Ultimately, I decided it would be wiser to perform a complete wipe of my
