Troubleshooting: PC Fails to Start After Using CCleaner and Updating NVIDIA Drivers

Troubleshooting Boot Issues After CCleaner and NVIDIA Driver Update

Experiencing boot problems can be incredibly frustrating, especially after making updates to your system. Recently, I faced a significant issue after installing a new NVME SSD and relocating several games. In an effort to optimize my system and avoid broken registry links, I decided to run CCleaner to tidy up the registry. A few hours later, I attempted to install the latest NVIDIA drivers, but the installation failed repeatedly, indicating that it was unable to proceed.

Following the unsuccessful driver installation attempts, I decided to restart my computer. To my dismay, I was met with a blank screen upon reboot, and it appeared that my system had ceased to function entirely. Not only was there no display output, but my keyboard was unresponsive—indicated by the lack of response from the caps lock key. Attempts to use F11 for Windows repair were futile.

As I investigated further, I noted that while the CPU and case fans were operational, and the RGB lights on my RAM and graphics card were illuminated, the motherboard did not display the Aorus logo or boot into the BIOS. This lack of output left me perplexed and concerned. Additionally, the power button became unresponsive, requiring me to shut down the system by physically unplugging it or switching off the power supply at the back.

System Specifications:
– Operating System: Windows 10
– Graphics Card: GTX 1070 Ti
– Processor: Ryzen 2600
– Motherboard: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 5 Wi-Fi

If you find yourself in a similar situation, you might be wondering about possible solutions. There are several troubleshooting steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue. Checking your hardware connections, resetting the BIOS, and attempting to boot into safe mode can often yield helpful results. Additionally, seeking support from online communities or professional services may provide further insights into how to restore your system to its full functionality.

In troubleshooting such scenarios, patience and thoroughness are key. Don’t hesitate to share your experiences with similar issues, as they can help others who might face the same challenges.
