Feeling Stumped: An IT Professional’s Struggle to Solve This Issue…

Troubleshooting a Faulty Nvidia 3060 GPU: A Frustrated IT Professional Seeks Solutions

As an IT professional, encountering technical challenges is all part of the job, but it can be quite exasperating when things don’t go as planned. Recently, I purchased a second-hand laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 GPU from my workplace. Initially, it worked seamlessly for about two weeks, but unfortunately, it has since ceased to function.

Despite my best efforts, the problem persists. I have undertaken numerous troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the graphics drivers, updating the BIOS, and rolling back to previous versions of both the BIOS and Windows. I even attempted a complete Windows reinstallation, reverting to an older version in hopes of resolving the issue.

To add to the frustration, the GPU is recognized by the device manager but is not acknowledged by any other software applications. This leaves me at a standstill, unsure of the next steps to take.

I would appreciate any insights or advice from the community—has anyone faced a similar predicament or have suggestions on how I might rectify this issue? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated as I work to restore my laptop’s full functionality.
