Concern Over Phone Spoofing: Seeking Guidance

Today, I encountered a troubling situation that has left me feeling quite anxious about the security of our family’s communication. This morning, I received a call from my sister’s number, but when I answered, there was only silence on the other end. Naturally, I hung up and promptly called her back, only to find out she hadn’t initiated the call at all. This revelation was alarming and sparked immediate concern.

In discussing this incident with my father, I discovered that he experienced something similar just last week—with a call coming from our mother’s number without her knowledge. This pattern of strange calls heightened my anxiety, prompting me to delve deeper into possible solutions.

As far as we’ve checked, none of us have identified any suspicious applications that could access our contacts. To address the situation, we have already reached out to our mobile carrier to request replacement SIM cards, hoping to secure new phone numbers to ward off any further issues.
