Troubleshooting High Ping and Connection Issues with Game Servers
In recent times, I’ve encountered a perplexing issue with my gaming setup. While I can browse the internet without any problems, connecting to game servers has become a significant challenge. This situation escalated after experiencing a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) caused by the Corsair V Bus Driver. Although I managed to resolve the BSoD by updating the driver, my gaming experiences have not improved.
Now, whenever I attempt to join online games, I either face a frustrating “failed to connect” message or am met with extraordinarily high ping rates. To make matters worse, this issue is isolated to my desktop PC, as my laptop and other devices are functioning normally.
Here are a few games that I’ve tried connecting to recently:
- Rainbow Six Siege: Encountered an astonishing ping of 42,949 milliseconds.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Unable to connect at all.
- Call of Duty: Cold War: Also faced connection issues.
