My Account Has Been Hacked for Over Three Weeks, and Amazon Won’t Remove the Intruder — I Don’t Know What Else to Do After My Post Was Removed from r/Amazon

Title: Battling an Amazon Account Hack: My Ongoing Struggle

In recent weeks, I have been entangled in a frustrating and alarming situation: my Amazon account has been compromised for over three weeks, and despite my efforts, I am still unable to reclaim control. Initially, I reached out to the community for guidance, but unfortunately, my post was deleted.

Here’s what I’ve been experiencing: unauthorized orders have been placed on my account for weeks. It seems like I might be dealing with a brushing scam, although I’m not entirely sure. I’ve noticed unfamiliar debit and credit cards being added to my profile and strange shipping addresses popping up, all linked to orders sent to my home. This has escalated to a point of genuine concern.

I have called Amazon customer service over five times and have had my account locked twice in an attempt to halt the unauthorized activity. I have taken numerous precautions, such as changing my password more than ten times and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on both my Amazon account and the associated email. Additionally, I have deauthorized every device that was logged in.

Despite these efforts, I am still facing the same issues. Amazon claims to have “sanitized” my account, yet I continue to see unauthorized activities. I’m reluctant to close my account entirely as it holds years of order history and valuable perks, particularly from setting up baby registries for my children.

At this point, I find myself at a loss for what actions I can take next. If you have any insights or advice on dealing with a situation like this, I would greatly appreciate your thoughts. Your assistance could help me navigate this overwhelming ordeal and restore my account’s security.
