Help! I Accidentally Disabled My Mom’s Phone Calling Feature – What Can I Do?

If you’ve ever found yourself in a pinch after accidentally changing the settings on a loved one’s device, then you can probably relate to my recent dilemma. I was casually navigating my mom’s phone when, out of curiosity, I decided to enter a specific code on the dialer — ##4636##. Little did I know, this seemingly harmless action would lead to an unfortunate consequence: I inadvertently switched the network settings to “4G (LTE only).”

This adjustment rendered her phone incapable of making calls, which is a bit of a problem considering she relies on her device for communication. In an attempt to rectify my mistake, I promptly changed the settings back to “4G/3G (LTE/GSM with PRL).” Unfortunately, every time my mom restarts her phone — which frequently happens when the screen freezes and gets stuck on maximum brightness — it defaults back to “4G (LTE only),” disabling calling once again.
