Resolving an Unexplainable Computer Glitch: A Personal Journey

I recently faced a perplexing issue with my computer that left me completely frustrated. It all started out of nowhere—my computer began to repetitively copy random text and files without me even selecting them. Despite my numerous attempts to resolve the problem, nothing seemed to work.

Initially, I tried restarting my computer, which provided a brief reprieve of normalcy for a few minutes before the glitch returned. I went as far as reinstalling drivers and resetting the system, but to no avail. In a bid to narrow down the potential cause, I even swapped out my keyboard, thinking it might be faulty. Unfortunately, the issue persisted.

After some investigation, I recalled that the trouble began after I had downloaded Radiant Viewer, a medical application for DICOM file analysis. Along with the software, I had also transferred some files from a USB drive I received from my professor. I quickly noticed an alarming correlation—after using the same USB on my laptop, it began exhibiting the same erratic behavior. The situation was quickly spiraling out of control.

As the saga unfolded, it was becoming evident that the problem was linked to the USB drive itself. After performing a complete system reset and formatting my hard drive, my computer functioned seamlessly—until the USB drive was re-introduced. This led to a vicious cycle of malfunction once again.

While my initial factory reset seemed successful, the glitch re-emerged after just an hour. Without further options, I opted for a fresh installation of Windows, hoping it would clear up the issue once and for all. Unfortunately, that didn’t yield any positive results either. I attempted various antivirus and malware detection programs, but they failed to recognize any underlying threats. Faced with these setbacks, the only remaining solution seemed to be a clean wipe.
