Unusual Experience: My Computer Started Typing Sentences to Me – Seeking Assistance

Unusual Computer Behavior: Seeking Guidance After Bizarre Incident

Recently, I encountered a peculiar series of events with my PC that left me both confused and concerned. While playing Battlefield 4, I attempted to record gameplay footage using a keyboard shortcut associated with my Nvidia software. After pressing several key combinations, I stumbled upon the right one. However, shortly thereafter, my computer began acting strangely.

Out of nowhere, the game opened the chat feature and typed “amr admin.” Alarmed, I abandoned the game, unsure of what was happening. When I opened Google Chrome, I was astonished to see random sentences appearing in the search bar. Among the jumbled words, I noticed phrases like, “use thea hze li again?” and “deah but now I might not be able ti do much :^_.” In a frenzy, I pressed various keys in an attempt to stop it, but there was no denying that coherent sentences were being typed without my intervention.

I thoroughly checked my keyboard for any active macros and explored various online resources for potential solutions, but found none that matched my unique situation. This perplexing dilemma had me questioning whether my PC was acting under malware influence or suffering from some bizarre hardware malfunction. Notably, I hadn’t downloaded any new applications in the past two weeks, which only added to my uncertainty.

As I contemplate my next steps, I’m wary of a complete hard wipe, especially since I have many important files I want to preserve. I’m curious if anyone else has faced a similar issue. Is my system compromised? What should I do next?

Update: Following the Support and Suggestions

In my initial panic, I couldn’t reproduce the typing again, even trying the key combinations that seemed to trigger the issue. After receiving thoughtful responses from the community, I rechecked all macros and verified that no external connections were established, but found nothing amiss.

Determined to be cautious, I ultimately decided to perform a complete wipe of my PC. Though I suspect it might have been a macro issue, I prioritized my peace of mind over speculation. While some users suggested it could have been a server-side issue with Battlefield 4, I lean toward the idea
