Can My Water-Damaged Laptop Be Saved? A Student’s Dilemma
As a student, my laptop is more than just a gadget; it’s an essential tool for my studies and daily tasks. Unfortunately, I recently had an unfortunate incident where I accidentally spilled water on it. In a moment of panic, I rushed it to a technician for repairs, hoping for good news.
After assessing the damage, the technician sent me a concerning photo and delivered the verdict: the hard drive, SSD, and motherboard all require replacement. To make matters worse, the estimated cost for these repairs is around $500. As a student with a tight budget, this amount is simply unattainable for me right now.
Now, I find myself wondering if there are any viable options to salvage my laptop or if I should start considering a new one altogether. Has anyone out there faced a similar situation? Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!
