Motherboard booting, but no display

Troubleshooting a Non-Displaying Asus B150 Pro Gaming D3 Motherboard

Hello everyone,

I recently acquired an Asus B150 Pro Gaming D3 motherboard, which appears to be in excellent physical condition. However, I’m facing a challenge: the motherboard seems to power on, yet it refuses to display anything on the screen.

To provide you with a bit more detail, I have installed a buzzer on the board along with dual 8GB DDR3 RAM and an Intel i5-6500 processor equipped with a cooling fan. While the fans are spinning, the system does not progress to the POST (Power-On Self-Test) stage. I have also tested two different power supplies, one of which is currently functioning in another PC without issues, indicating that the power supply is not the problem.

Interestingly, I’ve noticed an anomaly where some of the fan pins are showing a voltage of 2.5V instead of the expected 5V as specified in the user manual. In an effort to troubleshoot, I attempted to use a dedicated GPU instead of relying on the integrated graphics, but unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue either. The buzzer I installed should signal any errors, yet it remains silent throughout the process.

I’m eager to get this motherboard operational again but have exhausted most of my troubleshooting ideas. I’ve searched online for schematics or guides, but I’ve encountered numerous sketchy websites that don’t provide valuable information. Moreover, I’m uncertain about what the common issues might be in this scenario.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions that could help me diagnose this problem. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
