Defying Expectations: Fitting a Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT into a MiniITX Case
In the realm of PC building, there are always those who claim certain combinations are simply impossible. When I initially sought to fit a Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT into a MiniITX case, PCPartPicker strongly advised against it. Their warning: “You can’t fit a Nitro+ 9070XT in this MiniITX case.” However, I was undeterred and intrigued by the challenge.
The Challenge Accepted
With the case and graphics card specifications indicating a minimum of 4mm for maneuvering, I began my operation. It wasn’t without its struggles; I had to get a bit creative by temporarily removing the case fan, CPU cooler, RAM, and both USB header cables. But after some meticulous adjustments, success was achieved! Just 90 minutes of effort later, I was playing “Monster Hunter: Wilds” on my newly assembled powerhouse.
Cool and Composed
For anyone concerned about cooling, rest assured that the Fractal Torrent RGB Nano case features a fully meshed bottom, ensuring the GPU receives abundant airflow. It’s a robust setup that keeps my new hardware operating efficiently. However, I may have to evaluate my mental state if I ever need to extract that extraordinarily large graphics card!
