Exciting News: I Landed My First Internship!
I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all—I’ve officially secured my first internship contract!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the amazing community at r/cybersecurity for their invaluable advice and support. It was your insights that helped me navigate the intense process of landing this opportunity.
I’ll be signing the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and internship contract as soon as my summer break begins, which is just three weeks away. During my internship, I’ll be collaborating on a web application project alongside a fellow QA intern.
This internship will last for three months, and I am eager to showcase my skills. If I perform well, there’s a chance for a part-time contract afterward, complete with appropriate compensation.
Once again, I’m grateful for everyone who took the time to respond to my earlier post. Your encouragement means a lot to me!
P.S. Thank you for all the kind messages and congratulations. The support from this community is truly amazing!
Feel free to share your thoughts or any tips below! I’m excited to embark on this new journey and appreciate your guidance.

Congratulations on securing your internship! That’s a significant achievement, and it’s great to hear you’re positively engaging with the community.
Regarding your upcoming NDA and contract signing, please ensure you thoroughly review all terms to understand your responsibilities, confidentiality obligations, and rights. If you are unsure about any legal language or clauses, consider consulting a legal professional or your university’s legal services.
Since you’ll be working on a web application project in collaboration with a QA intern, it might be helpful to familiarize yourself with common QA methodologies such as test plans, bug tracking systems (like Jira), and version control tools (such as Git). Many online resources and tutorials are available to upskill quickly.
For your performance during the internship, document your tasks and achievements regularly. Building a portfolio or a project log can be beneficial for future opportunities. Communicate proactively with your supervisor, seek feedback, and don’t hesitate to ask questions—this will demonstrate your eagerness and professionalism.
Wishing you the best of luck in your internship! If you encounter specific technical challenges, feel free to share details here, and we can offer targeted advice.
