At a lost, I’m an IT guy and I can’t figure this out…

Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Nvidia 3060 GPU: A Frustrated IT Professional’s Dilemma

As an IT professional, it’s not uncommon to encounter technology hurdles that can leave even the most seasoned experts scratching their heads. Recently, I found myself in such a predicament with a used laptop I purchased from my company. This device, equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU, was performing flawlessly for the first two weeks. However, it abruptly ceased to function a few days ago, leaving me baffled and in search of solutions.

In an attempt to resolve the issue, I’ve undertaken a comprehensive series of troubleshooting steps. I began by reinstalling the graphics drivers and even updated the BIOS to ensure the system was running the latest firmware. When those efforts proved fruitless, I reverted both the BIOS and Windows updates to see if compatibility issues were at play. Throughout this process, I also uninstalled the drivers and experimented with older versions in hopes of restoring functionality. As a last resort, I reinstalled Windows entirely, reverting back to a previous version to eliminate the possibility of a corrupted installation.

Interestingly, while the graphics card appears correctly in the Device Manager, it remains unrecognized by any other Software applications. This unusual behavior has prompted me to reach out to the community for insights and advice.

If anyone has encountered a similar experience or has suggestions on further diagnostic steps I could take, I would greatly appreciate your input. Your expertise could potentially save me from a prolonged headache!
