Can Browse The Internet, But Can’t Connect To Any Game Servers

Troubleshooting High Ping and Connection Issues to Game Servers

Have you ever found yourself browsing the internet seamlessly, only to encounter frustrating connectivity issues with online games? Recently, I experienced this exact problem after my PC encountered a Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) attributed to a problematic Corsair V Bus Driver. Although I managed to resolve the issue by updating the driver to an unrecognizable version, I’m now faced with persistent connection troubles whenever I attempt to join game servers.

What’s particularly baffling is that my laptop and other devices are functioning normally, making my PC the sole culprit in this scenario. Here’s a brief overview of the games I’ve attempted to connect to:

  • Rainbow Six Siege: My ping skyrocketed to an astonishing 42949, rendering gameplay impossible.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: I couldn’t connect at all.
  • Call of Duty: Cold War: Again, no connection was established.

If you’ve encountered similar issues or have expertise in troubleshooting gaming connectivity problems, I would greatly appreciate your insights or advice on how to tackle this frustrating situation. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
