Can this be caused by a bad power supply? (read description)

Could a Faulty Power Supply Be Causing Random Blue Screen Errors on Your Gaming PC?

Since January, I have been experiencing intermittent blue screen errors (BSODs) on my gaming PC. These errors appear suddenly, last for only a brief moment, and are followed by an automatic system restart. After the restart, I sometimes encounter a specific error screen, which has become increasingly perplexing.

I’ve already taken several troubleshooting steps in an attempt to resolve the issue:

  • Hard Drive Replacement: I replaced the hard drive, suspecting it might be the culprit, but the problem persisted.
  • SATA Cable Replacement: I swapped out the SATA cables and tried connecting to different ports, which did not resolve the issue.
  • CMOS Battery Check: I replaced the small round battery on the motherboard, but this did not improve the situation.
  • Cleaning and Reorganization: I cleaned dust from the SATA ports and rearranged connecting cables to rule out connection issues, but without success.

Throughout this troubleshooting process, many community members suggested that the problem might stem from a faulty hard drive. However, with the hard drive replaced and other steps taken, I am beginning to doubt this theory.

Currently, my leading hypothesis is that a malfunctioning power supply might be the root cause of these random BSODs. Given that power supply issues can produce unpredictable system behavior and instability, I believe this warrants further investigation.

This computer is one of my most valued possessions, and resolving this issue is very important to me. I would greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations from experts or experienced users. Could a bad power supply indeed be responsible for these symptoms? Are there other potential causes I should explore?

Thank you very much for your assistance and guidance.
