Building a Community-Driven Cybersecurity Resource Database
Join Us in Creating a Comprehensive Cybersecurity Search Engine!
Hello, cybersecurity enthusiasts!
I recently shared a post on Reddit that unexpectedly gained a lot of traction. The overwhelming response made me realize the need for a centralized hub of resources in the cybersecurity realm. This led me to a new initiative: developing a Free Cybersecurity Database and Search Engine, crafted by the community for the community.
The vision is clear: to create a user-friendly online database where you can find valuable links, tools, and resources related to cybersecurity—all free of ads. While I found my previous compilation useful for personal bookmarks, I believe a community-sourced platform will be infinitely more enriching.
Imagine having a one-stop destination that categorizes various resources such as blogs, websites, e-books, and expert contributions. While my previous list had limitations in search functionality, our collaborative project can be optimized for better usability and expanded contents.
How Can You Contribute?
I invite you to share any links that you deem useful in the cybersecurity field. Whether it’s a blog post, an online course, or another great resource, please drop a comment with a brief description. This way, we can ensure that each link is searchable and categorized appropriately, allowing others to discover valuable information more easily.
To maintain the integrity of the project, I’m considering creating a dedicated profile—perhaps named @cybersecurity—where I can aggregate all these contributions. If you’re interested in becoming an editor or wishing to collaborate, just let me know!
What’s New?
In just a matter of hours, I have started compiling links and tools shared by many of you. This collaborative effort has already enhanced the database significantly! To see what we’ve added, check out the following categories that showcase the invaluable contributions from our community:
- Exploits & Vulnerability Catalogs
- Infosec Tools
- Penetration Testing Resources
- Digital Forensics & Incident Response
- General IT Security
