Colleagues in Cybersecurity—what are your go-to sources for your daily security updates?

Staying Ahead in Cybersecurity: Where Do You Get Your Information?

In the fast-paced world of cybersecurity, being well-informed is crucial. As cyber threats evolve, professionals in the field must stay updated on the latest trends, vulnerabilities, and defensive strategies. This brings me to an important question for my fellow security experts: where do you turn for your regular streams of information to keep you and your organization ahead of the game?

While this question may resonate particularly with those working in Security Operations Centers (SOCs), I encourage contributions from everyone in the cybersecurity community. What external sources are indispensable for your daily or hourly monitoring? I’m not solely referring to your internal detection systems but rather the external platforms and websites that help you stay alert and informed about emerging threats.

Having been in the cybersecurity field for just over a year—after transitioning from a systems administrator role—I am eager to learn more about valuable resources that can enhance my knowledge and efficiency. Personally, I often keep Security Wizardry’s Radar open on one screen and monitor Talos Intelligence for threat intelligence.

However, I know there are many seasoned professionals out there, and I would love to hear from you! What websites, tools, or feeds do you rely on to ensure you’re never out of the loop when it comes to defending your organization or clients? Share your recommendations and let’s build a comprehensive list of resources to bolster our cybersecurity efforts!
