Completely Overwhelmed: PayPal Depleted, Account Details Altered, and More

Urgent Security Breach: Seeking Help to Combat Cyber Threats

Last night, an innocent attempt to download a free program spiraled into a cybersecurity nightmare. Upon returning to my computer this morning, I discovered my browser was hijacked incessantly, and I was alarmed to find numerous unfamiliar programs cluttering my C drive. Despite my best efforts with Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, and CCleaner, the situation only seemed to worsen.

To my shock, I received a notification from PayPal stating that I had sent two $1,700 gift cards to an unknown individual. I promptly filed a dispute to reverse the transactions, but my access to PayPal is now restricted, even after changing my password. I’ve reached out to their customer support for assistance.

As if that wasn’t troubling enough, someone altered the password on my T-Mobile account, which I managed to restore, and they also attempted to breach my U.S. government account. This entire ordeal has left me feeling vulnerable and anxious about the potential of ongoing unauthorized access to my sensitive information.

I find myself at a loss on how to effectively halt this invasion. It’s frightening to realize just how much information can be accessed, and I am genuinely concerned that the situation might be escalating.

If anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice on steps to take next, your insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
