Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Work Computer: Is the Power Supply the Culprit?
Hello, fellow tech enthusiasts!
Today, I encountered an unexpected issue with my work computer that I rely on daily. Just yesterday, I placed it in sleep mode, following my usual routine of only shutting it down over the weekends. However, to my dismay, when I attempted to wake it up today, the screen remained dark, and it refused to turn on altogether.
Upon inspection, everything inside the computer seemed secure and undamaged. I went ahead and pressed the reset button on the power supply, which triggered a brief green light, indicating it was receiving power—only for a couple of seconds before returning to its lifeless state.
This has left me pondering: Is the power supply malfunctioning, or could there be something else at play here?
I am reaching out to the community for insights and advice on troubleshooting this issue. If anyone has experience with similar computer problems or can provide possible solutions, your input would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
