I recently encountered an unusual situation with my internet service that left me scratching my head. With a monthly data allowance of 2000 GB from my provider, I’ve consistently maintained a usage of about 1000 GB over the last three months. However, this past week has taken an unexpected turn. My provider reported that I used an astounding 450 GB on Wednesday and a staggering 1000 GB on Thursday—only to drop back down to a mere 20 GB on Friday.

Naturally, this sudden spike in data consumption raised several questions. I reached out to my internet service provider for clarification, hoping to understand how my usage could have skyrocketed in such a short timeframe. Their response was quite generic, suggesting that perhaps I had too many devices connected and running simultaneously. However, this explanation doesn’t seem to fit my circumstances.
