Data recovery possible on SSD? Does not appear in bios

Troubleshooting SSD Data Recovery: What to Do When Your Drive Disappears

Hello everyone,

I recently faced a frustrating situation with my aging computer that combines two hard drives: a SanDisk SSD (SDSSDA-240G) for running Windows 10 and a traditional mechanical hard drive for storing data.

While browsing the internet, my system experienced an unexpected reboot, reminiscent of a brief power outage. After this incident, I discovered that my SSD was no longer recognized in the BIOS—a worrisome development, especially given that the BIOS was taking an unusually long time to load.

In an attempt to salvage what I could, I connected the SSD to an Icy Box enclosure designed for external drives. Unfortunately, my other computer displayed a message indicating a “problem with the USB device,” and the SSD didn’t appear in the disk management utility either.

With these complications in mind, I’m seeking effective DIY solutions to recover my data. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or found successful methods to retrieve data from a non-detecting SSD? Your insights and experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your assistance!
