Troubleshooting the Touchpad Assembly on Your Dell Inspiron 15

I recently embarked on a DIY project involving the touchpad of my Dell Inspiron 15. With little knowledge of the inner workings of laptop hardware, I took the courageous step of disassembling the touchpad for a thorough cleaning. However, I’ve encountered a couple of issues since reassembling it: the touchpad is no longer responsive to clicks, and the connecting cable seems to be having trouble securing itself to the touchpad.
