Facing Challenges in Troubleshooting: An IT Expert’s Frustration

Troubleshooting an Unresponsive Nvidia 3060: A Struggling IT Professional’s Dilemma

Navigating technical issues can be a daunting task, even for those of us familiar with the world of IT. Recently, I purchased a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 graphics card from my workplace, and for the first two weeks, everything ran smoothly. However, a few days ago, the GPU suddenly ceased to function as expected.

In my quest to resolve the issue, I have undertaken a series of troubleshooting steps. I started by reinstalling the drivers and updating the BIOS, hoping to bring the GPU back to life. I even went as far as rolling back both BIOS and Windows updates to earlier versions and uninstalling the drivers entirely, only to revert to older versions.

Despite these efforts, the GPU remains unresponsive in all programs, although it is still recognized by the Device Manager. This has left me puzzled and searching for further insight.

Has anyone else encountered a similar situation, or can anyone offer additional troubleshooting strategies? Your expertise could be invaluable in restoring functionality to this stubborn graphics card.
