Feeling Stuck: As an IT Professional, I Can’t Crack This Issue…

Troubleshooting GPU Issues: A Frustrated IT Professional’s Dilemma

As someone well-versed in the realm of information technology, I often relish the challenge of diagnosing and resolving hardware issues. However, I recently encountered an unexpected obstacle that left me scratching my head.

I recently purchased a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 graphics card from my workplace, and it functioned flawlessly for the first two weeks. Unfortunately, it abruptly ceased to work a couple of days ago, throwing a wrench into my plans.

Here’s a rundown of the troubleshooting steps I’ve undertaken so far:
– I attempted to reinstall the graphics drivers.
– I conducted BIOS updates, reverting to previous versions as necessary.
– I explored uninstalling drivers and even tried downgrading to earlier versions.
– In a more drastic approach, I reinstalled Windows entirely, only to revert to a prior version once again.

Despite these efforts, the graphics card is clearly recognized in the device manager. However, it is not acknowledged by any other software applications.

Has anyone encountered a similar scenario or have any insights on potential fixes? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this frustrating situation!
