Title: Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Nvidia 3060 GPU: Seeking Solutions
As an IT professional, I pride myself on being able to resolve technical issues that come my way. However, I recently encountered a perplexing problem that has left me scratching my head and seeking help.
Not long ago, I purchased a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU from my employer. For the first two weeks, everything functioned flawlessly. However, a few days ago, the GPU suddenly ceased to work.
In my attempts to rectify the situation, I have taken several troubleshooting steps, including:
- Reinstalling the Nvidia drivers
- Updating the BIOS to the latest version
- Reverting both the BIOS and Windows updates
- Uninstalling the drivers and rolling back to earlier versions
- Completely reinstalling Windows and attempting to revert to a previous version
Despite all these efforts, the GPU is recognized in the device manager, yet it remains unacknowledged by any software applications.
At this point, I’m reaching out to the community for insights. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or found a solution? Your advice and experiences could prove invaluable as I continue navigating this frustrating challenge.
