Feeling Stumped: An IT Professional’s Struggle to Solve This Issue (Variation 52)

Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Nvidia 3060 GPU: A Request for Help

As a seasoned IT professional, I find myself in a perplexing situation that I could use some assistance with. I recently purchased a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 graphics card from my workplace. For the first two weeks, everything was functioning perfectly, but a few days ago, the GPU suddenly stopped working.

In my efforts to resolve this issue, I have taken several troubleshooting steps. I’ve started by reinstalling the drivers and performing BIOS updates, as well as reverting both BIOS and Windows updates to previous versions. Additionally, I’ve uninstalled the GPU drivers and tried different versions, even going so far as to reinstall Windows and revert to an earlier iteration of the operating system.

While the device manager recognizes the graphics card without any issues, it appears to be unrecognized by other applications, which has left me scratching my head. If anyone in the tech community has faced a similar challenge or has insights on how to get this GPU back up and running, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
