Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Nvidia 3060 GPU: Seeking Solutions
As an IT professional, encountering technical issues is part of the job. However, it can be particularly frustrating when challenges arise with hardware that initially worked perfectly. Recently, I faced such a dilemma with a used laptop equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU, which functioned flawlessly for two weeks but has now ceased to operate.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, I have undertaken various troubleshooting steps. Initially, I reinstalled the GPU drivers and updated the BIOS, hoping to rectify any underlying problems. When that proved ineffective, I reverted the BIOS settings and uninstalled the drivers, even testing previous versions. Despite reinstalling Windows and rolling back to an earlier version, the GPU still remains unresponsive.
While the Device Manager recognizes the card without any issues, none of the software applications appear to detect it. This has left me at a standstill, eager for insights or suggestions.
If you’ve faced a similar situation or have expertise in this area, I would greatly appreciate your advice. Any assistance in getting my Nvidia 3060 back up and running would be invaluable. Thank you in advance for your input!
