Troubleshooting a Non-Responsive Nvidia 3060 GPU in a Second-Hand Laptop
As technology enthusiasts, we all know how frustrating it can be when our trusty devices give us unexpected trouble. Today, I found myself grappling with a puzzling issue regarding a recently acquired laptop that has thrown me for a loop.
The laptop, originally part of my workplace inventory, came equipped with an Nvidia 3060 notebook GPU that performed brilliantly for about two weeks. However, it has suddenly stopped functioning, leaving me scratching my head for answers.
In my pursuit to resolve this issue, I’ve diligently tried several potential solutions. I began by reinstalling the graphics drivers, ensuring that I had the latest updates available. Next, I explored BIOS updates, rolling back changes, and even reinstalled Windows—reverting to earlier versions when necessary. Despite these efforts, the GPU still remains unresponsive.
Interestingly, the GPU appears in the Device Manager without any issues, yet it seems invisible to other applications, which has further complicated the troubleshooting process.
Has anyone else faced a similar situation? If you have any insights or advice on how to get this Nvidia 3060 back up and running, I would greatly appreciate your assistance! Your experiences could help shed light on this frustrating predicament and restore functionality to my laptop. Let’s troubleshoot together!
