GPU temp always freezes at 22-25 celsius

Title: Troubleshooting Frozen GPU Temperature Readings: A Case Study with the TUF 3070

When it comes to monitoring the health of your PC, especially the graphics card, accurate temperature readings are crucial. Recently, I encountered a perplexing issue with my TUF 3070 GPU. Despite running perfectly during operation, I noticed that the temperature readings would consistently stabilize around 22-25° Celsius about 10 to 20 minutes after starting my computer.

This seemed peculiar, as the ambient conditions didn’t justify such low readings, particularly since I observed idle temperatures closer to 30-35° Celsius when monitoring Software was functioning properly. It became clear that my GPU wasn’t actually maintaining such a frigid temperature; it was merely a case of the temperatures freezing on the display.

Interestingly, a quick restart would often resolve the issue temporarily, restoring accurate readings for a brief period before the incorrect display returned once again. I have checked both Windows and various third-party monitoring applications, and all present the same frozen temperature readings, reinforcing my suspicion that this is not just a Software glitch.

At this point, I’m left contemplating whether this is a hardware malfunction or a software-related problem. It’s a frustrating situation that can leave anyone uncertain about the reliability of their system.

If you’ve faced similar issues or have insights into how to resolve this peculiar behavior, I’d appreciate your thoughts. Sharing knowledge can greatly help those of us experiencing the challenges of PC maintenance.
