Troubleshooting Performance Issues with the GTX Titan X in Halo Infinite
Recently, I’ve encountered some peculiar performance issues with my GTX Titan X graphics card, particularly while playing Halo Infinite. Transitioning from a GTX 970 that managed about 70 fps on low settings to this powerful Titan X should have promised a significant upgrade, but the reality has been quite different.
Despite the Titan X performing admirably in most titles, I’ve found both Halo Infinite and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to be exceptions. In Halo Infinite, the framerate hovers frustratingly around 20-25 fps, which is far below what I anticipated. Interestingly, I once followed a tutorial that temporarily boosted my frame rate to approximately 120 fps; however, this came with heavy stuttering and frequent drops that rendered gameplay unpleasant.
I’ve double-checked that there are no frame rate caps affecting my performance, and I’ve tested both 1080p and 1440p resolutions without noticing any improvement. Given that my graphics card handles other games seamlessly, I’m reaching out for insights from fellow gamers who might have experienced similar issues. Has anyone else managed to improve their performance in Halo Infinite with the Titan X? Any suggestions or fixes that might rectify these frustrating frame rate drops would be greatly appreciated!
